What we sell

MediCarry sells medical ID bracelets, medical alert jewellery and related identification accessories. These products are designed to display customer-provided or product-selected information for identification and awareness purposes.

Not a medical device

MediCarry products are not medical devices and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, prevent or medically manage any medical condition. They do not monitor your health and are not a substitute for professional care. For medical advice, diagnosis, treatment or emergency planning, please consult a qualified healthcare professional. In an emergency, always call your local emergency number.

Materials, skin sensitivity and allergies

Our bracelets are made from stainless steel, braided leather or soft silicone depending on the style. Any material worn against the skin can cause a reaction in some people, and individual sensitivities vary.

Stainless steel

Like most stainless steel, the alloy we use contains nickel bound within the metal. It is the release of nickel onto the skin, not its presence in the alloy, that can trigger a reaction in nickel-sensitive people, and stainless steel of this type releases nickel only in very small amounts. Our manufacturer describes the material as non-allergenic and well tolerated; we do not currently hold an independent nickel-release test certificate, so we pass on that description rather than offering it as a guarantee.

Leather

Leather can be tanned and dyed with substances that some people react to, including chromium compounds. If you have a known leather or chromium sensitivity, we recommend a steel or silicone style.

Silicone

Our silicone bands are the lowest-risk option for very sensitive skin and are the style we recommend if you have a history of contact dermatitis.

Plated finishes

Gold-tone and other coloured finishes are electroplated. Plated finishes are decorative and wear or fade over time with normal use; sweat, showering and contact with cosmetics or perfume accelerate this. This is a normal characteristic of plated jewellery, not a fault.

If you have sensitive skin

If you have a known nickel or metal allergy, sensitive skin or a history of contact dermatitis, we recommend a short wear test before wearing the bracelet full-time, and checking with your doctor if unsure. If you notice redness, itching or irritation, stop wearing that bracelet. Seek medical advice if the reaction persists.

Because sensitivities differ from person to person, we cannot promise that no one will react, and it is your responsibility to check that the material suits your skin.

Returns

Because we cannot know your individual skin sensitivities, you accept that you wear our products at your own discretion and risk. If an item does not suit you, you are welcome to reach out to us within 30 days under our returns policy. Nothing in this notice affects your legal rights in respect of faulty or misdescribed goods.

Care and use

Our products are water-resistant for everyday splashes. We recommend removing them for swimming, bathing or heavy sweating to protect the materials and clasp. Products should be used only as intended, as wearable identification.

Accuracy of information shown

Where a product displays condition or identification information, it is your responsibility to check that the details are correct and up to date. MediCarry is not responsible for outcomes arising from information that is inaccurate, out of date, unreadable, or not noticed by a third party.

Limitation of liability

Nothing in this notice limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law. Subject to that, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or in connection with your purchase or use of our products is limited to the amount you paid for the item.
